Our services enable public entities to comply with regulatory requirements and manage credit and debt collection programs without sacrificing service to their citizens. FMS’ expertise includes all aspects of managing the Credit Program Lifecycle and providing services consistent with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996.

Receivables Managed
FMS services a wide array of receivables, including large and small balance debts as well as collateralized and non-collateralized assets. Asset classes currently managed include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Federally guaranteed student loans and alternative student loans;
  • Medicaid and Medicare receivables;  
  • Consumer and Commercial tax debt;
  • Court fines and fees;
  • Utility/Public Works debts; and
  • Miscellaneous non-tax debt types.

For each portfolio managed, FMS assigns a dedicated team whose sole responsibility is to manage their particular client’s accounts. Each team is fully trained on the client’s specific scope of work and is led by a management team versed in the client’s line of business and performance expectations.
